What size unit do I need?

We offer two sizes: 12'x8'x8' and 16'x8'x8'. The 12' unit may hold the average contents of a 1,200 square foot house. This is roughly equivalent to a 10' by 10' storage room or more than what you can pack in a 14-foot rental truck. The 16' unit may hold the average contents of a 1,500 square foot house and is roughly equivalent to a 10' by 15' storage room or slightly more than what you can pack in a 17-foot rental truck. If you need more help, most of our locations offer site surveys where a local representative will visit your home or business to assess your storage needs.

Can I rent a PACK-RAT unit for less than one month?

Our standard rental contract is one-month. We can pick-up your PACK-RAT unit whenever you are finished but do not offer pro-rated refunds at this time. If you're confident that you will need storage for six months or longer, call us at 1-800-PACK-RAT (1-800-722-5728) and ask about discounts for long-term commitments.
